Still Mind
I wanted to create a piece that showed a sacred space that one can go to, to centre themselves. I looked for a place that could nurture/encourage my best state of being, hoping that others would resonate and benefit from this too. Instead, the place ended up being a moment. A moment that captures the sensation when everything feels aligned. It became a self-portrait showing the myriad of components that go into balancing my mind and creating a flow-like state. This piece was made using a four-colour reduction lino print emphasising the necessity of the elements that must align for the image to truly sing.
